Shabarimala women entry
Women is not impure The main problem, which Kerala faces today is Shabarimala issue. The main deity in this temple is Ayyappan. Unlike in other temples of Kerala women between the age 10-50 are not allowed to enter Shabarimala. WHY?!..... Because the people consider women between the age 10-50 as impure. This is related to the menstruation cycle. menstruation is a natural process. There is no need of considering it as impure. It is clear that this custom is the creation of male dominated society. In early times SATI one of the most cruel custom was consider divine. The society said that it is the duty of a widow to die by jumping into the pyre of her husband. I can't understand how this people could support such ugly customs. How can we force a innocent women to jump in to the fire? Rajaram Mohan Roy strongly protested against this and when the government banned Sati hundreds of people started strike. Even women argued that this custom is divine. Divine..... killing ...
